Version 2.0

Let's start with the part usually buried at the bottom: THE WED PORTAL uses no advertising cookies, has no third-party analytics, and does not track people from one site to another. Everything we store on your device is there to log you in, to remember how you like to see pages, or to make something work that you asked for.

What they are, in one line

A cookie is a small piece of text a site leaves in your browser and reads back on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are two other local stores — local storage and cache — that work in a similar way: we list them here together with cookies, because for you there is only one question: "what stays on my device?"

The cookies we use

Necessary — always on

Without these the portal does not work: they do not require your consent.

NameWhat it doesHow long
tp_sessionKeeps you signed in, in the studio or planner app30 days
tp_guest_sessionThe same, for couples and clients30 days
tp_guest_lite_sessionThe same, for guests arriving from a QR code or link30 days
tp_visitor_sessionThe same, for anyone opening a shared photo gallery30 days
tp_actasMarks that an administrator is assisting an account, with that account's permission2 hours
hq_2fa_okRemembers that two-step verification has been passedUntil you close the browser
hq_trusted_deviceRemembers a device you marked as trusted, so the code isn't asked every time30 days
tp_google_oauth_state and similarProtect the sign-in with Google while it is in progress10 minutes

These cookies are technical, tied only to your sign-in, and they tell nobody else where you go.

Preference

They remember how you like things. You can delete them at any time: you will only lose the preference.

NameWhat it doesHow long
tp_localeThe language you chose1 year
tp_cookie_consent_…The choice you made on the cookie panel, so we don't ask on every page1 year

Analytics and marketing

We currently use none. The cookie panel lists them because the machinery is ready: if one day we introduce an analytics or marketing tool, we will ask you first, and nothing will run until you say yes.

What stays in the browser and is not a cookie

WhatWhereWhat it does
Light or dark themeLocal storageRemembers how you prefer to see pages
Guides already readLocal storageAvoids showing you a tutorial you have already seen
Draft of an unsaved eventLocal storageKeeps what you were typing if you close the tab by mistake. ⚠️ It may contain names and contact details: it stays on your computer and disappears when you save the event
Guest portal pagesBrowser cacheMakes pages work on a weak connection, such as inside a reception venue

None of these leave your device.

Requests to other sites

Even without cookies, opening a page can make your browser talk to another site. With us this happens in these cases:

  • Page fonts are served by Google Fonts: your IP address reaches Google.
  • Photographs and attachments are served from our storage at Cloudflare.
  • Videos a studio embeds in a gallery or in an interactive quote are served by YouTube or Vimeo, under those services' own rules. In a quote the video loads only when you press play (from youtube-nocookie.com or player.vimeo.com): before that, those services receive nothing.
  • Payment, when you make one, happens on Stripe's pages.
  • The anti-bot check on some public forms is Cloudflare's, and receives your IP address.

Who processes what, and where, is explained in the privacy notice.

How to change your mind

  • From the cookie panel, which appears on your first visit and can be reopened from the footer.
  • From your browser, which always lets you block or delete a site's cookies. Careful: if you block the necessary ones, signing in stops working — not out of spite, but because without them there is no way to remember that you are signed in.
